Bratfest at Tiffany's (Clique, No. 9)

In this ninth Clique novel, the Pretty Committee (PC) is OUT and the New Pretty Committee (NPC) is IN. Faced with an invasion of Briarwood boys on Octavian Country Day Schools turf, Massies alpha status dreams of 8th grade begin to fade like last years Chanel tote. Massie announces a boyfast, thats absolutely no flirting and no texting. The girls friendships are put to the test as one of their own is expelled from the NPC. The girls learn how to balance their own sense of self in a new world full of crushes. Lisi Harrison walks a fine line between expensive dreams of manolo shoes and designer handbags and alienating the average reader, who cant afford Tiffanys, to an LBR status (thats Loser Beyond Repair). In the end, I heart the Clique novels and Lisi Harrison for her strong female characters that are as flawed as they are perfect.
