This is a wonderful accompaniment to the tv series but is also great for anyone interested in these prehistoric creatures who has not seen the series. My 7-year-old son is extremely interested in prehistoric creatures and was able to read most of the book himself. It has a lot of information but is written in a way that makes it accessible to anyone.
