It is a case of foreign jewels from a phony Middle East princedom that are smuggled out in a schoolgirls luggage. Fast forward to an English Girls School for details on its operation and persona. It seems that there are many interests in the jewels (we arent informed of most of them). Naturally a murder starts it off, then a kidnapping, and another murder. Enter Poirot, again rather late in the game. In his inimical, arcane fashion he solves this one, of course with much conjecture, leading to a rather fantastic and theatrical denouement: sort of like a bad TV show from the 50s.
