The second installment of the blockbuster Harry Potter series ratchets up the suspense and darkness, but retains the quirky creativity and engagingly whimsical magic of the first. Now in his second year at Hogwarts, Harry finds himself in the midst of a grand mystery yet again as a dark force is unleased and starts attacking students. His best friends, Ron and Hermione, aide and abide him again, and author J. K. Rowling uses her grand writing skills to weave a tapestry of grand, stand-alone adventure, while also expanding the narrative to lay more groundwork for the overarching, epic story that ultimately stretches across 7 novels. This is a near-flawless series of true literature that can be enjoyed by both young and old alike. If you loved "Sorcerer's Stone", don't miss "Chamber of Secrets"!
