"A Fine Young Man" is a book that changed how I looked at my son's development. It is a nice playbook for how to handle and support a young boy and help him grow into a confident man. I've used Mr. Gurian's advice with my son and I think it has helped him develop into a fine young boy. My son is still very young but I believe with these techniques I will continue to understand the very difficult stages that my son is going through. Because I do not have first hand experience growing up male I have appreciated a book that helped me see the experience in a different light.
