I was rather unimpressed about how slow the first third of the book developed. It was flat and overly-simplistic. I was befuddled that such a popular writer would produce a book that I had to push to keep reading, hoping that it could improve. It did get better but I still was left with a let-down that this was not an example of great fiction, the quality frustrated me.
