Can I just say how much I adore Sheri Cobb South? She is a brilliant writer and I'm thrilled that Alabama can claim her! Milady's Chamber is a departure from her previous Regency books; these were romances (wonderful by the way- do check them out) and I was a bit wary. I had no reason to fear. The book is witty as always and South keeps you guessing til the end. Nothing too high-brow, but a delightful read. I recommend it whole-heartedly.
