This is just what one would expect from a National Geographic book gorgeous photographs on every page. This book is meant for younger readers and highlights the major topics of interest about a country: history, peoples and culture, government and economy, geography and nature.

This is obviously an introductory book about Turkey. Anticipating that the young reader might have to make a report about Turkey, the author suggests some websites to glean specific information, such as: the time difference between the reader and Turkey, the weather, currency and a world atlas. Theres a fine glossary at the end, along with a bibliography and more websites to explore.
