Not since Lord of the Rings have I been so enthralled with a book. The characters were written with a depth I haven't seen in a long while. Even though the books were written for teens and young adults, there was a timelessness and innocence about them that made even a jaded old lady like myself fall hopelessly in love with the story. I found that I tended to get put-out with Bella because I felt like she caused many of her own problems, but then, having been written from a teen's perspective, I suppose she was very realistic in character since most teen problems are based in flawed thought processes, lol! I read all four books in under a week and as soon as I can clear off some of these other books I have in my to be read pile, I will read them again. Hopefully I won't cry through New Moon this time!
