This is basically James Patterson's Women's Murder Club series with a Christian subtext. If you like his books and you like your characters praying and quoting scripture or otherwise, you will likely find this one enjoyable. It is my opinion, however, that James Patterson's characters and his WMC series are superior.

This was the second book in the Triple Threat Club series (but it is actually the 4th installment) that I have read and, though I tried again to give it a chance, I was left unsatisfied and slightly annoyed. It can be read as a stand alone as there is not enough depth to the characters to require that the reader have read the other novels. Without giving any spoilers, I will say that the way this author manipulates the various characters does not bode well for much followup or any point to continuing the series. I developed absolutely no connection or attachment to them nor particularly cared about what happened to them. The story plodded along with lots of foreshadowing and predictability. It wasn't very suspenseful or thrilling. I won't read another.
