This is a relatively short book. I got it because I have seen this author in interviews in the DivorceCare video series (I HIGHLY recommend you find a class if you're recently divorced, or are separated!) and really liked his comments. Unfortunately, the book is not as good as I expected, cause it kind of reads like a talk or series of talks, rather than being an organized whole. Regardless, I will keep this book because his treatment of the history of divorce in Biblical times, as well as summaries and explanations of Biblical teachings on divorce (Moses, Paul and Jesus) is VERY good. He really went into detail about the context of divorce in the Bible and I appreciated the insights. His main idea - the concept that single means to be whole, unique and separate from other individuals - is a great one and a very useful lesson for anyone who is unmarried to learn. After having read several books lately by wonderful TEACHERS this one fell a little short on depth and organization for my taste.
