One Girl is dead, another missing. FBI Agent Elaina McCord travels to a Texas beach resort to offer help in investigating the case. Elaina offers a profile to the local police, along with her theory that the killer may have started his killing spree in this same town nine years ago. The police don't take her seriously, but True-Crime Writer Troy Stockton sees the possibility. Elaina doesn't trust Troy, afraid he is using her to further his career. But soon Troy is her only ally as more and more bodies are found.

This is the second book in Griffin's Tracers series. It has good suspense that kept the story moving quickly. I liked the way the villain was uncovered. The romance is OK. I definitely liked it better than the romance in the previous Tracers book. There are secondary characters that will certainly be getting their own book in the series. I'm looking forward to it. My rating: 4 Stars.
