Paris. Aimee Leduc takes on a top-secret decoding job. She finds the woman strangled, a swastika carved on her forehead. With the help of her partner, Rene, they set out to solve this murder, but find themself in a dangerous web of ancient secrets and buried war crimes. I like the character of Leduc but the secondary characters need to be fleshed out more. Some of the action scenes are unbelievable but make for a very interesting read. For a debut novel her writing is weak in some areas but hopefully the next book will only get better. She takes us places in Paris that the average traveler would never visit. I am looking forward to the next book and recommend this book to those who love the history of Paris and WWII.
