The story started slow for me, which was alarming because the plot synopsis seemed so alluring. But, after about 100 pages I was drawn in and was almost rendered completely unable to put the book down. While long loved Newford characters play a part in this, you'll find yourself introduced to a menagerie of new and interesting characters.

Sometimes heart breaking, always well written. The book had me running the gauntlet of emotions. In the end I truly cared for the characters.
