Have to say I'm disappointed in this. I liked the first one a lot, the second was okay, but this one is a mess. An asteroid is going to impact the Earth, kill off most higher-life forms, which seems pretty terrifying...but most of this book is devoted to Charlie and Jack whining about why they can't be a couple. I liked the idea of the Gales. It would have been interesting to know exactly what Ritual is for (besides an orgy), but it's all just glossed over. All those terrifying Aunties and yet none of them have any ideas except bemoaning Charlie and Jack? So everyone mopes around until 20 pages before the end, when poof! Charlie has an idea. After that the whole asteroid thing is fixed in one sentence, and there's another 5 pages on Charlie and Jack. Too bad, it could have been good. .
