This took me two tries to read. The first time I flipped through, liked one story, wasn't impressed with the others I read, and put the book on the shelf.

A few years later I found it again and sat down to read it.

I don't know if I just chose poorly in flipping through or if a few years changed my tastes, but I enjoyed this book quite a bit. It may have been good that I waited to read it, as I've been messing around with writing again. I hadn't expected to like it from previous glances, but a lot of the stories were complete stories, and a lot of fun. I am highly impressed.

There are some I don't like, and some that are just scenes, or just not interesting, but overall they are stories. And fun ones at that.

I do think it would be better to have not read all the Murder chapter at once. While individually they were good, and they would have been published in the magazine spread out...there were several that used the same twist, and it was getting a bit old by the end of the chapter.

The rest of the chapters, surprisingly, didn't really have that problem.
