I'm a sucker for time travel romances and have no problem suspending disbelief to buy into them. In this one, Reese, the heroine, is suitably smart and plucky, while Sam has enough of an edge to keep it interesting. I enjoyed their romance, but probably not as much as I could have. The start is very slow, and it felt like it took too long to actually get into the old west when in actuality it only took a chapter. The ending suffers from the reverse. It was building up nicely, but then went into double-time with too much getting summarized and skipped over in order to get to the ending. A nice read, but not one I'm likely to read again or pursue reading the sequel of the sister's story.
