If you read this novella as a stand-alone, it will NOT make sense....however, if you read it when you're done with Stone's 3rd book, His Darkest Salvation, it will flow perfectly!

ALL Stone's books are intertwined. Her books simply don't read well as stand-alone's. You have to have read ALL the previous books to really understand her current release.

Her next series, League of Guardians, isn't really new at all. It's just a continuation of themes & characters introduced in all 3 1/2 previous books!

I highly recommend you read ALL her books in order, and then you'll find the progression of situations & events & characters makes perfect sense...and is much more enjoyable than trying to pick books up in the middle.
