Back of Book: Charley Payne, forensic photographer, left the U.S. Central Intelligence AGency looking for peace and quiet in the Twin Cities. After spending his life with the agency in the world's hot spots, he needs the rest. Payne is called in to photograph a gruesome murder scene where the victim is partially devoured. There, he notices a bizarre Australian Aboriginal painting covered in blood on the wall. Alfie Woodard, contract killer for an Australian drug lord, learned in the SAS how to stalk, kill, and most especially to never leave a trail.
But, then again, Alfie Woodard never crossed another ex-operator like Charley Payne.
