Shades of Agatha Christie, this tale starts out like one of her infrequently used sleuths. Bang, the murder happens in chapter one, as It begins seeming to be another locked room puzzle. Then it bogs down as the amateur develops too many theories of the murder as he plays Holmes to his friend's Watson. Resolved at the end with a long-winded confession. The police are left out almost completely. Overall it is a lot of "pooh."
