This book is a more detailed and specific method for implementing the type of discipline that you see on shows like supernanny when the kids are getting stickers on a chart or flowers in a jar or whatever. It is based on the idea of using as much positive reinforcement as possible for the behavior you want to see, and no enforcement (or a minimum of negative enforcement) for behavior you don't want to see. If you were ever unclear on how reward charts work, this is the book for you. This method works great for the normal tempered child who just needs a little motivation. It only antagonizes the "spirited" or "sensitive" child who doesn't need motivation but lacks impulse control.
