I was really disappointed in this book. Admittedly, I'm an adult reading this, but I'm a wanna-be YA librarian, so I was expecting something quality out of these writers.

It's more like they all kinda fired off a blog-post, didn't even edit it, and sent it off for submission. The essays meander, and don't have coherent points. I sure as heck wouldn't submit any of these as critical essays to a teacher! I guess I was expecting scholarly work, because that's what I've read before about Buffy, Harry Potter, and heck, even fanfiction... in essay collections like this.

If you don't mind you're authors babbling like 10th grade girls who forget what their assignment was halfway through the piece... by all means, read it. But don't expect any insights, or bits you missed to be analyzed.

I really expected better out of some of these authors, given their fiction. But this has 'rush to press to capitalize on a hot book' written all over it.
