A very good book dealing with drag racing in it's infancy. This book was written in the 1950's and is right in step with the technology of those times. The author did an excellent job of researching the topic. He also dealt with social issues within the story in an interesting way. I first read this book when I was 14 years old and at 60 years old I re-read it, appreciating it even more the second time around.
