Book Review of The Secret Life of the Lonely Doll : The Search for Dare Wright

The Secret Life of the Lonely Doll : The Search for Dare Wright

I love eccentrics, but they never seem to make good ends, do they? This was an intriguing biography and kept me up half the night, but watching the aging process of a woman who was notable for her fey, childish nature is like watching a car crash in slow motion. What a downer. Also, I could have done without the multi-page synopsis of one of the fairy-tales Wright wrote. Man, did that go on forever. Still, it was fascinating, and I want to track down a number of Wright's books after reading this.
