First of all, being called "My little whore" is NOT a turn on!
For a guy who cherished Jill so much he sure did call her a slew of unsavory names: "whore", "cunt", "bitch", "slut". Honestly, could you call your partner those names (truly believe them every time you use those terms) and still profess your undying love? Or if the situation was reversed would you really want to be with someone who constantly called you degrading names? No one's nickname/pet name should be "my little slut."
Another thing that bother me is Holdin continual being referred to as a "wild beast" or "predator"; more so than any shifter I have read about in a paranormal romance.
On a positive note the author did a good job of maintaining the story line while infusing erotic elements, but for me the "terms of endearment" were a bit too much.
