Book Review of Suspended Animation (Harlequin Intrigue, No 99)

Suspended Animation (Harlequin Intrigue, No 99)
reviewed on

"Suspended Animation" is an unusual late 80's series romance with a mystery/paranormal twist. Sara, the female protagonist, comes to work at the Sketch Shop, an animation studio (think Disney/Hanna-Barbera), as the voice of popular character Morganna the Sorceress. Little does Sara know that both of Morganna's previous "voices" have met untimely deaths - and that someone is determined to see that Morganna is silent FOREVER!!! Only animator Alex Cross can help Sara unravel the mystery of the strange goings-on at the Sketch Shop - but can they figure out before Sara, too, is silenced?

Jenna Ryan was inspired to write "Suspended Animation" by Anne Stuart's "Hand in Glove," which takes place in a Jim Henson-esque puppet factory. If you are a fan of Anne Stuart, or just enjoy a series romance that deviates from the norm, then check out "Suspended Animation."
