This is the third book in a series, and perhaps I'd have enjoyed it more if I had read the previous two. The story line is fine and the depiction of a loving extended family was great. I just prefer heroines with some spunk, and Cathy is beaten down, poverty-stricken, and sneaky at times. You do get the happy ending, but I wasn't rooting for her the way I usually do in romances.
