This is a great book for those just becoming interested in developing their own psychic senses. This author identifies four areas of the body where particular types of psychic sensations are felt.

I remember that this book just "happened" to come into the house from a house my husband sold. I picked it up and, in reading about auras, began to practice seeing myself. I walk up a trail most days that has trees planted on the outside of the curving road. I found I could just walk along the road focusing past each tree trunk (with the sun behind me) and see the clear aura of each tree as I passed. I still don't see color in auras--just clear energy, except for a few instances. But it was fun to do.

The author says that all can develop their abilities but everyone has a dominant way (or two) of sensing. Those who Feel (clairsentient) talk about "This house feels so homey." or "I felt great about my presentation." And, according to the author, they are often not concerned about schedules. Feeling is more important.

Likewise, I recognized myself in that I often say, "Can't you SEE how this is going to go?" or "Why can't policians SEE what effect this will have?" I am primarily visual [and I really don't understand sometimes how others can't SEE what I see. I know--its a problem.]

I would just add that for myself, the feeling part is not only in the solar plexus area. I usually feel unpleasant feelings there--dread, worry, mistrust. But I feel feelings of love and warmth in the heart region. I don't know if everyone is like that.

This is a relatively short book and a great light introduction to the subject.
