Fabulous! Stereotypical Margaret Way - delicate heroine/alpha cattle baron - plus two funny kids and a dog looking for work. This reminded me of the author's first book, "Time of the Jacaranda", because of the way the heroine quickly finds a place and an important role in her temporary home. This young woman is raising her young brother and alone in the wide outback. Both are emotionally battered but are strong and resilient, too. She and the dog are looking for work. I think the book is delightful. It got one customer review on Amazon and it was negative. If you could see me, you would see that I'm speechless at that review.
