Poling's ministries were broad: local and global, congregational, military chaplaincy during war, writing and leading around the world. This little book of 40 devotions is calmly thought-provoking and faith-building. His language and examples are only slightly dated; not so much that the content is hindered. I took many notes that will feed into my own writing, teaching, and preaching.
