Lincoln Vailes moves to small Eternal Springs, Louisiana after his fellow-park ranger gets married. His ailing father is slowly deteriorating in a nursing home in the same town. Being a preacher's son, he can quote many Scriptures, but after seeing how his father is suffering, his faith in God falters. His bitterness towards God is apparent throughout the first half of the book.

Jade Laurent is a social worker in the town of Eternal Springs. She does a great job helping out battered wives. She loves God & desires to trust completely in him. In the midst of one of her cases, she meets up with Lincoln. Unfortunately, in the middle of the case, she runs into danger . . . not even associated with her current case. Where did this danger come from?

Lincoln races the clock trying to find out why Jade is in danger. Meanwhile, Jade becomes fast friends with Lincoln's parents.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was an easy read & kept my attention. I really enjoyed how you could see Lincoln turning back to the Lord. This is great Christian fiction!!
