I love a good ghost story and this was a very enjoyable read. The atmosphere of a beautiful island where no cars were allowed. The only means of transportation was horse and buggy, bicycle or walking. Creepy, malevolent ghosts children. Tales of the family's strange history. I kept turning the pages and was absorbed all the way through, but I did feel a little disappointed in the end. It was clever, and wrapped up nicely, so I'm not sure why. I just felt there was something missing at the end.
