First I think I should explain this is not a cozy series nor a comedy straight thru as some prior reviewers have assumed, but true holiday accounts of authors who were willing to share their stories. Lets face it some holidays just don't live up to our expectations. Everyone has that one particular year that they'd like to forget. Here are 18 famous author's stories of their worst "Hellish Noel". Some will make you chuckle, some will have you saying, "I knew if they invited both families that was going to happen", & some might bring a tear to your eye. I didn't find the book depressing at all as a couple other reviewers did. This is the author's true lives. Just as in all of our lives nothing always goes as planned so it is as in theirs. I loved that each author shared their lives with me. The stories were short, each completely different. All can leave one with food for thought if you keep an open mind about the type of book you are reading. Everyones human. We all live thru trials. These authors just shared some of their most "Hellish Holiday Tales" about their's and I enjoyed that I spent the time reading them.
