Slow start with character building, but it *is* worth the wait. I almost wanted to give a low rating because the ending was so "disappointing", but then I realized it's not that it's disappointing, as much as it's not what I really wanted the ending to be... which means I was really kept in suspense & involved with the character's stories.
Solid story and interesting plot twists. Don't read if you have a weak stomach or are looking for Laurell K's usual soft-core vamp romance stuff. Or do, and broaden your reading horizons.
