This book is a VERY basic book for first time home owners. It goes over the various systems, maintenance, troubleshooting tips and advice that it takes to run a home.

It will let you know when to call in the experts and whether or not you should be able to fix it on your own. Again, VERY basic. No color photos or diagrams. Though there are a few diagrams regarding the structure of a house and figures.

If you've had your home for more than 6 months or so,,,you don't need it. If you know enough to unplug an appliance BEFORE trying to fix it,,,you don't need this book. If you know how to shut off a water supply pipe BEFORE fixing it,,,you don't need this book.

The book is brand new, I paid $15.95 for it, you can get a MUCH more detailed book for the same price or close to it from Lowe's or The Home Depot. I was VERY disappointed in it.
