I thought it was a great disappointment. It wasn't funny. It was pretty much the same old stuff. The writing style was thin and simplified. It did not seem like Janet Evanovich -- I suspect that for whatever reason she is now having them ghostwritten by someone who has read the books and has a list of the tropes, but doesn't have the energy or female insight of the books that Evanovich did herself. Or maybe a robot is doing it. The first books made me laugh out loud; this one did not. I kept going to see if it got any better, but it never did. I was happy I got it from the swap club and didn't fork over $15 for it in the store, out of misplaced nostalgia for the Stephanie Plum series of yore.
