What the Bible Says about Child Training (Second ed.) by J Richard Fugate

What the Bible Says About...Child Training is a best selling Christian book (200,000+ copies). This material is unique in that the subject is handled solely from the Biblical viewpoint. The author, Mr. Fugate, accepts the Bible as absolute truth and as infinitely superior to any human system of thinking. There has been no attempt to modify God's word to make it compatible with human philosophies, psychology, sociology, religious views, or public opinion. What the Bible Says About...Child Training has been accepted by most Bible-believing churches as the standard text on child training for over 15 years. Now, this classic work is available as a 2nd Edition release, with the author's comments, examples, and anecdotes added. The popular four, one-hour film series, which has been shown annually in many churches throughout the country, has been expanded in content to six, one-hour video and audio cassettes with outlines.

Every parent should have this book! It changed our life. This is a study to help parents better discover the mechanics for successfully raising children. To accomplish these ends, this book carefully defines parental accountability, authority, and responsibility. The book also describes the nature of a child and explains the biblically defined states of development. With these principles firmly established, this book presents a biblical system for rearing children. Saturated with sound biblical support, the book opens with the God-ordained concepts of creation, authority, leadership, and obedience. Fugate then links these biblical concepts to the responsibility of parents in parenting and the child's respect of authority. The author then shows how our children's response to physical authorities parents, teachers, government) will influence his or her response to the authority of God and His Word. This second edition of What the Bible Says About Child Training has the depth of a seminary textbook, yet the simplicity of a practical how-to manual. It contains 80 extra pages of author comments, examples, and anecdotes.
