This book is set after Red, Red Rose. Although it was not quite as good, it's a very thoughtful story with great character development, not only of the 2 leads, but a secondary couple as well. The heroine shows a lot of character growth, after doing some hurtful things out of ignorance or thoughtlessness. The romance is a very slow burn, she changes her mind about the hero after jumping to conclusions about him. The hero is a sweetheart, I was rooting for him all the way!
