Jess Whalen wanted more out of life than to become the oldest living waitress in Idaho. Henry Myles III thought she wanted his grandfather's money. So when Jess set off for New England and a better life, Henry hitched a ride to make sure she got there.

But to Henry's chagrin, he discovered that this "femme fatale" drove a twenty-year-old station wagon, complete with two kids, a parakeet and hermit crabs under the seat. Jess was equally confounded to discover that her friend's grandson was a full-grown hunk and a dangerous distraction on the road.
