The story takes place in the 1950's. The place is a small midwestern town. Two children and their parents have a sweet life full of comfort and all the love and nurturing anyone could ever hope for. But one awful day everything is shattered by the death of the youngest child. The couple finds their "perfect" marriage falling apart and life becomes almost unendurable.
