Be ready to stay awake at night until you finish this book. It grabs you from the first page, and that's exactly what I was hoping for. I had just finished one that wore me out so was ready for a picker-upper. I found it! The whole story is like a runaway train that keeps picking up speed until ..... until the end. That's where I experienced a serious jolt of depression. Man! I know it's probably the perfect wind-up for everything, but I'm the kind of person who just HAS to have exactly the right ending to the stories I like best. To Gillian Flynn and many, many, of her readers I'm sure this was the only possible one that made sense, but not to me. I was disappointed. Hence the four stars. Otherwise it was a five star book. The writing was good, the buildup was excellent, the characters were great, but oh that ending! Read it, but be forewarned.
