This book proved to be dissappointing as it was boring to read. There was a little more history of Iowa in it than I preferred. The plot was not very exciting, and a lot of pointless details. The story of Dewey himself would make really cute children's books because the little stories of Dewey in this book are short and sweet. If you are a cat-lover, you may not like the end. I did not enjoy the end. Mostly, I think this book was overrated.
