Excellent book with some quick, easy, tasty and creative recipes. Diane Phillips always comes through with her wonderfully written books. However, if you are trying to avoid or lower the sodium in your diet, this book is not for you. Thus, my only reason for rating this book four stars instead of five.

Obviously, by the title of the book, most of the recipes use either canned soups or dry powder mixes, which are usually high in sodium. I purchased this book "before" high sodium was a health issue for me. So rather than try to adapt all the recipes and compromise taste (plus I have so many other cookbooks I can use!), I decided to give it up and let someone who doesn't have to watch their sodium intake enjoy this book!
