This book is written as science fiction....some of it reads like science fact...that makes the book extremely horrifying.
The copyright dates to 1986 and is set in the early 21st century....not today but in a possible future not too long from now.

For a person who was a living, thinking and( reading)being during the 1970's and 1980's, the information provided as a "look-back" by various characters is a startling wake-up call.

We have not destroyed the earth YET, for the most part we are still able to live here. The fiction the authors write from 1986 onward is a path we are on - be truthful to yourself! Yes, we do not have all the technology described but we could soon....and who knows what lies beneath the layers of secrecy of the governments of the world.

This is not a book that a person enjoys...you either hate it or you are terrified that it might be "the coming attraction of your world soon".

"Silent Spring" meets a future fictional reality!
