Ackerman's an eager young cop with a haunted past that won't let go. His partner's Pulovski, a tough veteran still bitter about the life that's run him over and passed him by. Together they're up against one of L.A.'s most infamous, vicious and violent underworld schemes-and a crime lord who will cut down anyone who stands in his way. Pulovski's got to win this one. And Ackerman's got to stay out of his way-or back him up.
