LAUREN is the second book in Shannon Wavery's trilogy/mini-series, "Circle of Friends."

Lauren is the second in a series of books written about four girls who grew up on the island of Harmony, south of Cape Cod, MA. Lauren returns to Harmony 12 years after leaving in shame with her family and falls in love again with a man from her past.

Years ago they were in love, but his parents interfered and she left town in disgrace. Now a successful real estate investor, LAUREN is back, hoping to make the town and its leader -- her old lover -- take notice.

Although the hero's inability to deal with his parents weakens his character slightly, Shannon Waverly creates a strong, sensitive heroine, emotional intensity and good discord.

Note: JULIA (Circle of Friends, Book 1), LAUREN (Circle of Friends, Book 2) and CATHRYN (Circle of Friends, Book 3)
