Book Review of Meeting Your Half-Orange: An Utterly Upbeat Guide to Using Dating Optimism to Find Your Perfect Match

I think this is the only dating book I've ever read that made me feel hopeful. As a general rule, I kind of hate the genre. He's Just Not That Into You made me think no one ever would be. The Rules made me think I could never have an honest relationship, ever. But this book...well, it actually advocates for being yourself--not just that, but your BEST, most authentic self. It's about how to be happy now--versus how to spend your life plotting to capture the heart of some dude who isn't that great anyway. It's about true love--genuine love.

Yeah, I'm a New Yorker and cynical. But I felt much happier, open-hearted, and optimistic after reading this book.

It's also a good gift.
