After reading (and loving) A Date With the Other Side, I just HAD to read the follow-up book, Heiress for Hire - and I really enjoyed this one, too!

Amanda Delmar (rich spoiled city girl) has come to small town Cuttersville for the summer - primarily to annoy her father. But when her father cuts off her money supply, she's stuck. The only money she has left is $54 and the pennies that fall from the ceiling in her rented haunted house (which is far less corny than it sounds).

Danny Tucker (small town farmer) is unexpectely gifted with an 8-year old daughter from an "encounter" he had as a teenager. While he tries to bond with his new daughter, he can't take her with him everywhere - so he hires Amanda to stay with his daughter while he works. As Amanda begins to show that she's not quite the rich spoiled city girl he thought (the chicken coop scene was hilareous!), he finds himself not only falling in love with his daughter but with Amanda also.

Heiress for Hire is set in the same town as Date With the Other Side, with most of the same characters you came to know and love from that book - plus a few more to get to know and love. The prequel was a "city boy meets small town country girl" story, and this is "county boy meets spoiled city girl". But that premise wasn't what made me love this story. It had charm and heart - and a few really steamy scenes LOL.
