This book was well written but frustrated me in one particular area. This is my own personal opinion, but we are supposed to believe that this cussing, drinking, closet christian is in a spiritual battle with a demon (it is never really explained why she was brought in to the fight). In my personal experience, the more lax Christians tend to not even be aware there is a spiritual war going on, much less be engaged personally with demons & spirits. So, that's just my two cents on the Christian aspect of the plot.

Mystery/thriller plot wise, it was very well written, minus a few dangling ends (who purchased the gifts in the beginning - evil or good?). I was able to put it down and come back to it later, so it wasn't a five star read for me. If you are looking for something more out of the norm for Christian fiction, this is it. All said & done, I am glad I read it as I get tired of the squeaky clean, predictable christian lit out there.
