Former Navy seal and suspected jewel thief, Ian Dunn, has been in prison for over a year when he is approached by two lawyers with a rescue mission offer that could mean his freedom. Phoebe has only been at her law firm for a week when she is asked to act in Ians interests and accompany the attorney representing the United States government and their deal. She is sure that once Ian hears of the rescue mission he will jump at the chance to help and to have his freedom. But thats not the case and Phoebe quickly learns the man is far more complicated than she ever imagined.

Forced together by circumstance and danger Phoebe, Ian and his team embark on a rescue mission on multiple levels.

Once upon on a time I fell in love with Suzanne Brockmanns SEALs teams. There is something about the heroic folks she writes about that made me giddy with anticipation. But her last couple books were hard for me to read as paragraph after paragraph jumped all over the place from character to character, setting to setting. I would be thinking I was still reading about one situation only to discover in a short paragraph I was suddenly someplace else, with someone else! It made a wonderful story hard to follow and herky jerky. It really began to ruin my book love. This book brought back the love!

I am so excited about this series. I feel like someone has breathed new life into one of my favorite authors! Phoebe and Ian were fabulous and I loved their chemistry and the way they worked and played off one another. The side characters were just as intriguing and I am really looking forward to reading more about Francine and Deb. Those are two women who have big stories! I can hardly wait.

Its a fast paced book that moves seamlessly and for me, flawlessly. I cant wait to read more!
